PORTLAND, OR : Two vehicle head-on crash leaves 5 dead near Salem on Friday, October 6, 2017

Oregon State Police said a two vehicle, head-on crash happened Sunday evening, killing 5 people. All 5 people killed were from one vehicle, OSP said.

The crash, which happened around 4:30 p.m., came about a mile north of Salem on 99E and Nevada in Marion County. The road is currently closed for investigation. ODOT has created a detour.
