Several lanes of I-45 N southbound were blocked due to an early-morning truck crash

Several lanes of I-45 N southbound were blocked early Wednesday due to an early-morning truck crash and hazmat spill.

The freeway was blocked at the Hardy Toll Road just south of The Woodlands.
The crash was reported shortly before 3 a.m. As of 6 a.m., one mainlane and a frontage road lane remained blocked.

The truck's driver told authorities a car cut him off, and he swerved into the plastic barrels at the divider for an exit ramp. A hazmat team had to be called in because one of the truck's fuel tanks ruptured.
There were no reports of serious injuries.
