Miramar, FL : Pines woman, 39, killed in a single-vehicle crash on Florida's Turnpike early Friday morning, May 13, 2016

A woman from Pembroke Pines died Friday in a single-vehicle crash on Florida's Turnpike in Miramar, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

At 5:30 a.m., Aurelia Aileen Canzoneri, 39, was driving a 2003 Lincoln Navigator SUV. It inexplicably went off the southbound side of the turnpike west of the Northwest 57th Avenue exit and struck several trees, the agency said.

Canzoneri was wearing a seat belt; the cause of the crash is under investigation.

James Canzoneri said he had been with his wife for 20 years and that she is survived by their three sons: James Jr., 18, Nicolas, 15 and Jack, 12.
