Racine County, WI : Woman ejected from vehicle in Racine County crash early Friday on July 11, 2014

A 31-year-old woman remains in serious condition after she was ejected from her vehicle in a rollover crash in Racine County early Friday.

The Sturtevant woman was found by an off-duty detective about 3:18 a.m. in the 24000 block of Apple Rd. in the Town of Norway, according to a news release from the Racine County sheriff's office.

The woman, who did not appear to be wearing a seat belt, was found in a ditch about five feet from the vehicle. She told the detective she had been there for some time and said she had some loss of feeling in her legs, officials said.

She was transported to Froedtert Hospital.

The vehicle, which was eastbound on Apple Rd., crossed the centerline and left the roadway and struck a culvert before rolling over at least once.

Officials continue to investigate the accident, according to the release.
