Green Valley, AZ : Drug smugglers crash vehicle in Sahuarita on Monday, 3rd October 2016

Two suspected drug smugglers received non-life threatening injuries Monday evening after crashing their vehicle while being pursued by U.S. Border Patrol agents.

Sahuarita Police officers and detectives were dispatched to the crash on El Toro Road around 10 p.m., according to a Sahuarita police news release.

The two suspects were taken to the hospital. Federal charges are pending against the suspects, the news release stated.

There are no further details available at this time, according to Officer Kelsey Santos, a spokeswoman for the Sahuarita Police Department
