Two crashes that happened minutes apart blocked parts of a busy road in El Paso County Monday night.
The Cimarron Hills Fire Department responded to two separate accidents on Powers and Omaha boulevards. Powers was blocked for a while, but has reopened, police said.
The first accident involved a single vehicle and happened around 9:30 p.m. Monday, firefighters said. Speed and alcohol were likely factors, but the accident is under investigation, police said.
As traffic slowed down, minutes later another driver rear-ended a vehicle, police said. The victims suffered minor injuries.
