Yakima, WA : Motorcyclist injured after US Highway 12 crash west of Naches on Saturday morning, August 26, 2016

A 32-year-old Puyallup man was hospitalized Saturday morning when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed on U.S. Highway 12 about 35 miles west of Naches.

Tony Xayavong was headed east at about 11:50 a.m. when he lost control of his 2005 Yamaha YZF-R1T and struck a guardrail. The motorcycle was totalled, the Washington State Patrol said.

Xayavong, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital, where he’s in fair condition, a nursing supervisor said.
