Newnan, GA : One seriously injured in Hwy 29 accident on Saturday September 3 2016

A young woman is expected to live after the car she was driving crashed into a tree.

The accident occurred on Saturday night when the driver was heading south in the area of 4099 N Hwy 29 when she lost control and hit a tree on the other side of the road, according to Trooper Justin Hogan with the Georgia State Patrol.

Members from the Coweta County Fire Department had to pry the woman from the car wreckage before she was flown by air to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. The driver is a resident of Roswell.
