Nampa, ID : A Nampa man has been hospitalized after being involved in a three vehicle accident on Tuesday, May 30, 2017
A Nampa man has been hospitalized after being involved in a three vehicle accident on Interstate 84 due to a dust storm.
According to Idaho State Police, Mikel Snelling, 49, was eastbound on I-84 near Caldwell in a 2006 Kia Spectra around 7 p.m. on Tuesday when he stopped his car due to low visibility caused by the storm.
Then Jesse Branson, 37, of Las Vegas, failed to see Snelling and hit him from behind while driving a 2004 Freightliner commercial vehicle, causing the Kia to roll off of the freeway's right shoulder. Shortly after, another commercial vehicle driven by 61-year-old Randy Davis of Centralia, Wash., collided with Branson's trailer.
Snelling was taken to St. Luke's Regional Medical Center in Nampa via ground ambulance. It is unclear whether he was wearing a seatbelt. Branson and Davis were wearing seatbelts.
