Methuen, MA : A six-year-boy was killed in a two-car crash on Tuesday, July 19, 2016
Local and state police are investigating a two-car crash that killed a young boy early Tuesday morning.
At 7:25 a.m., a van crashed into the side of a car that was turning from East Brook Place onto Berkeley Street, causing the car to spin out of control. A six-year-boy was ejected from the car.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman driving the car was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The van crashed through a fence and into a wall of the Meeting House Hill Cemetery, police said. The driver remained on the scene and police said he is cooperating with the investigation.
The names of those involved were not immediately released. It's not clear yet if anyone will face charges.
