Sanford, FL : Speeding SUV crashes through Sanford building early Monday morning, Nov 30, 2015

A speeding driver lost control of his SUV and crashed into a Sanford building early Monday morning, police said.
According to Sanford police, the driver of the SUV was speeding down Seminole Boulevard around 3:30 a.m., when he lost control and hit the building.
Police said the SUV went through a wall of the brick building and came to a stop inside.
Police said they believe the car was traveling 90 to 100 mph, when the driver lost control and hit a stump, which sent the car into the air and through the wall.
The driver and his two passengers were all taken to the hospital with minor injuries, police said.
Resident Richard Tuthill said he heard the crash and ran to help.
"I was in my apartment, and I heard a big loud crash and bang. I came out to check it out, and there was a guy screaming," Tuthill said. “I was trying to make sure they were OK. The friend was just out. He was out cold. When I came over, he was starting to spit blood.”
According to police, the SUV was seen a short time before the crash driving away from The Barn, a nearby nightclub.
Police said the SUV was a rental vehicle out of Daytona Beach.
Building owner Chris Kelley said he was surprised when his security service called.
"We got a call from security that we thought there was somebody who'd broken into the building, and I guess you could say they did," Kelley said.
They said they expect to file charges in the incident.
“It’s a little heartbreaking. We were getting so close, so we have a little setback. We’ll pick up the pieces, literally, and move forward,” Kelley said.
Police have not released the identities of those involved in the crash or said if the men will face charges.
They are working to figure out if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
