Central Islip, NY : Pedestrian was seriously injured after a hit-and-run crash on Sunday night August 17th 2014

Suffolk County police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in Central Islip. The accident happened at about 9:25 p.m. Sunday. Police say a man was crossing Carleton Avenue when he was struck by a northbound car that fled the scene. The victim was taken by helicopter to Stony Brook University Hospital.
