One person was killed and three others were injured in a crash in Rockingham County on Wednesday, according to Master Trooper Brandon Baker.
The crash happened on N.C. 87 near Lindsey Road, southeast of Reidsville.
Patricia Ann Pruitt, 56, of Burlington, was driving south on N.C. 87 and went to pass a Kia passenger car in front of her, Baker said.
Pruitt sideswiped a car headed north, hit another vehicle head-on and then hit the Kia.
Pruitt died at the scene and an adult passenger in Pruitt’s SUV was taken to Moses Cone Hospital with serious injuries.
