Flagstaff, AZ : Two people dead following a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 40 in northern Arizona on Wednesday, March 30, 2016
Two men are dead after a commercial vehicle hauling citrus crashed on Interstate 40 in Flagstaff.
Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say the tractor-trailer rig rolled into the center median shortly before 6 a.m. Wednesday.
DPS says the two victims were the driver and co-driver of the vehicle and both middle-aged men were declared dead at the scene. Their names are being withheld until relatives can be notified.
DPS says it's unclear if speed or weather was a factor in the crash.
But at the time of the accident, DPS troopers were responding to calls of numerous vehicle collisions and slide-offs along the Flagstaff I-40 corridor due to the roadway being covered in snow and ice.
