Elkhart, KS : 36-year-old man dies from injuries after crashing into retaining wall in southwest Kansas on Friday, November 7, 2014

Hospital officials say a motorcyclist who was critically injured after crashing his bike in southwest Kansas has died. A Via Christi Hospital St. Francis spokeswoman said Monday that 36-year-old Bruno Olivas Jr. of Hugoton died over the weekend from injuries sustained in the Friday crash in Elkhart. The Kansas Highway Patrol says Olivas drove too fast around a curve in the road and lost control before striking a brick retaining wall. He wasn't wearing a helmet.
