Fort Myers, FL : Fort Myers man driving unlighted ATV killed in crash on Sunday, December, 24th 2017

A Fort Myers man was killed Sunday morning when the ATV he was riding was hit from behind by another vehicle on Cemetery Road and Skates Circle in Buckingham.

The Florida Highway Patrol said Samuel Tyler Brown, 18, was riding a Yamaha ATV shortly after midnight and was stopped facing east on Cemetery but had no lights on and was not wearing reflective clothing or a helmet.

A 1997 Mustang driven by Robert E. Adams III, 46, of Fort Myers, was traveling east on Cemetery near Skates Circle and hit the rear of Brown's ATV.

Brown was dead at the scene, the FHP report said.

Adams was not hurt.

Charges are pending, the FHP said.
