Lawrence County, PA : Joplin couple injured in four-vehicle crash on I-44 on Thursday, 13th September 2018

A Joplin couple were injured in a four-vehicle accident at 6:15 p.m. Thursday on Interstate 44, 2 miles west of Mount Vernon in Lawrence County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The driver of one of the vehicles, David G. Fish, 64, was taken by ambulance to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin with minor injuries. His wife and passenger, Rosemary M. Fish, 52, was taken to the same hospital with moderate injuries.

Their eastbound vehicle was struck in the rear by a pickup truck driven by Gregory C. Cleveland, 19, of Royston, Georgia, pushing the Fishes' vehicle into the rear of a car driven by Kevin L. Brown, 45, of Russellville, Arkansas, and Brown's car into the rear of a pickup truck driven by John F. Sweeny, 41, of Carthage, the patrol said.
