A two-vehicle crash blocked traffic and sent three people to the hospital Saturday evening in Southern Pines.
The wreck happened on South Henley Street at the corner of West Wisconsin Avenue around 8:45 p.m., the Aberdeen Times reported.
The crash happened when a Chrysler PT Cruiser and a Ford Explorer SUV collided, with the Ford flipping over and sliding on its roof before coming to a stop off the road.
Three people were transported by ambulance to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst with injuries that were reported to be not life threatening.
The occupants of the vehicle were able to get out of the overturned SUV as emergency responders were reaching the scene.
South Henley Street was completely blocked to traffic for about an hour while the injured were assisted and the accident scene was cleaned up.
Southern Pines Fire and Rescue, Moore County EMS, and the Southern Pines Police Department responded to the crash.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
