Crossville, TN : County man killed in single-vehicle accident on Monday, November 14th, 2016

A Cumberland County man died last week of injuries sustained in a single-vehicle accident on a Cumberland County road.

Clay Carey, 88, of Crossville, was traveling east on Eldridge Loop near Proffitt Lane in the area of Genesis Rd. Nov. 14. According to the report by Trooper Nicolas Neal, Carey’s 2000 Buick LeSabre left the road for unknown reasons, traveling through a barbed-wire fence. The vehicle then struck a utility pole.
