Former Reading resident dies in Georgia motorcycle accident

A longtime Reading resident was killed in a motorcycle accident near his new home in Georgia, authorities said Monday.Dale R. Hollenbach, 74, of Loganville lost control of his motorcycle and struck a culvert and mailbox Friday night in Loganville, Gwinett County police said.Hollenbach died at the scene, investigators said.Hollenbach lived in Reading most of his life and most of his family resides in Berks County, said his son Jonn, assistant chief deputy of the Berks County coroner's office.Jonn's sister, Gretchen Weyandt, is a deputy in the coroner's office.Jonn Hollenbach said his father enjoyed community service and was returning from helping out at an American Legion motorcycle event when the crash happened.
