Detroit, MI : Car driving too fast in I-96 construction zone caused MDOT crash on Saturday, 15th February, 2020
Michigan State Police is reminding drivers to slowdown in construction areas after a speeding driver reportedly hit an MDOT truck Saturday.
Officers responded to a crash around 12:25 p.m. Saturday on eastbound I-96 local lanes near Meyers in Detroit. A green, four door Honda was speeding through the area before crashing into the back of a MDOT vehicle, MSP said. The Honda was then struck by a semi-truck, police said.
"This driver was traveling way to fast and switching multiple lanes," MSP said in a tweet.
