Sevierville, TN : Three people injured in head-on crash on Birds Creek Road on Saturday, Nov 28, 2015

A woman faces a reckless aggravated assault charge after a head-on crash sent three people to the hospital.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to the wreck on Birds Creek Road at 1:33 p.m. on Saturday.

THP says Tiffany R. Fox was traveling south on Birds Creek Road and was distracted by eating. Officers say she crossed the yellow, center line and hit the oncoming car.

Troopers say Fox and her one-year-old daughter were airlifted to UT Medical Center. A passenger in the other vehicle was transported by EMS to the Leconte Medical Center.

All three are stable and receiving treatment.

Fox has been charged with reckless aggravated assault, failure to maintain lane, due care, not wearing a seat belt and improper use of a child restraint device.
