Peoria, AZ : Three people injuries after a six-vehicle crash at 91st Avenue and Cactus Road in Peoria on Monday afternoon, February 8, 2016

Authorities say three people have been taken to hospitals for treatment of injuries after a six-vehicle crash in Peoria.

Peoria Fire Department officials say the Monday afternoon crash has closed the intersection at 91st Avenue and Cactus Road.

They say two vehicles landed on their roofs.

Peoria police say the accident occurred after one of the vehicles ran a red light at the intersection and struck several other cars.

They say one of the injured persons is hospitalized in critical condition and the other two are in serious condition.

Names of the injured weren't immediately released by authorities.
