EAST PEMBROKE, NY : Driver was injured, trapped but alert after head-on crash with semi on Thursday, 26th July 2018

A woman was seriously injured, but conscious and alert as first responders worked to extricate her from her largely collapsed sedan after a head-on collision with a semi-trailer at around 10 p.m. Thursday along Main Road in East Pembroke.
She was transported by Mercy Flight to ECMC from a scene that saw an overwhelming response and immediate fears of a much worse result, East Pembroke Fire Chief Newton said.
