Investigators are searching for a vehicle that was involved in a fatal hit and run in Goose Creek this past weekend.

The Goose Creek Police Department is looking for a 2011-2012 burgundy Chrysler 300 Sedan; police provided pictures Monday afternoon of a similar make and color of the vehicle sought in the incident.

GCPD officials are seeking help locating and identifying the vehicle and the occupants from the Saturday night incident that took the life of 26-year-old Anthony Robert Missouri of Goose Creek.

A press release states the vehicle involved will have damage to the front right passenger side to include but not limited to the front bumper, grill, headlight and the fog light area.

Missouri was crossing St. James Blvd. near St. James Place Restaurant at 10:33 p.m. when he was struck by a vehicle, according to Coroner Bill Salisbury with the Berkeley County Coroner's Office.

Witnesses described the vehicle, which fled the scene, as a burgundy Chrysler.

Missouri was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead at 11:02 p.m., the coroner says.

The Coroner's Office is assisting Goose Creek Police in the investigation.
