TENNESSEE, TN : Missouri man injured in two-vehicle wreck near Macomb on Tuesday, 9th July 2019

A Missouri man sustained minor injuries Tuesday in a two-vehicle collision near the McDonough County village of Tennessee, west of Macomb.

Richard K. Seward, 63, of Monroe City, Missouri, was westbound on Illinois Route 336 at County Road 350 East about 10:30 a.m. when his 2006 International box truck collided with a 2016 Mack dump truck, according to the Illinois State Police.

The dump-truck driver — Aron K. Sowers, 50, of Colchester — was northbound on 350 East, attempting to cross Route 336. He traveled into the westbound lane and failed to yield to oncoming traffic, a news release stated.

Both vehicles ended up in a ditch northwest of the intersection.
