Erlanger, KY : James Wolfinbarger, 51, died after a crash on Interstate 71/75 in Erlanger on Wednesday morning, February 18, 2015

A 51-year-old man was killed in a Wednesday morning crash in Northern Kentucky, Erlanger police confirmed.

Friday morning, police identified the victim as James Wolfinbarger.

Wolfinbarger was driving a pickup that struck a parked tractor trailer at approximately 11:30 a.m. He was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital and later pronounced dead, according to a statement from the Erlanger Police Department.

The tractor trailer was in an emergency lane near the Buttermilk Pike ramp on southbound Interstate 71/75, according to the release.

Erlanger Police is investigating the crash.
