A Carver County man was killed in an ATV accident Monday, May 8, in Camden Township.
A Carver County Sheriff's news release reported that the ATV personal injury accident happened at about 6:55 p.m. Sheriff’s deputies responded to 15590 102nd Street, in Camden Township.
Kevin Lynn Jorgensen, 47, had been riding an ATV around a track built on the property when he lost control and flipped the ATV, the release stated. Jorgensen was riding alone and was found by family members who summoned emergency responders.
Norwood Young America Fire and Rescue, Ridgeview paramedics, and Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene and provided lifesaving efforts. Jorgensen, who was not wearing a helmet, sustained serious injuries in the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene, the release stated.
Personnel from the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office responded and gathered evidence for their investigation and took custody of Jorgensen.
The case remains under investigation by the Carver County Sheriff’s Office and the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office.
