A 31-year-old West Olive woman was seriously injured in a three-car crash on Lakeshore Drive on Thursday afternoon.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies said the injured woman, Liudmyla Svyryd, was a passenger in a pickup truck involved in a secondary crash at the intersection with Lincoln Street in Grand Haven Township. She is being treated at Hackley Hospital in Muskegon.
Emergency crews responded to the intersection as rain poured down in the area at about 2:50 p.m.
The crash occurred as 16-year-old Alexandra Wexall of Grand Haven, who was driving south on Lakeshore, waited to make a turn onto eastbound Lincoln Street. Her 2004 Chrysler Pacifica was rear-ended by a green 1999 Toyota 4Runner driven by Ethan King, 17, of West Olive, according to Sgt. Brian Buter of the Sheriff’s Department.
