Baton Rouge, LA : One person was killed early in a single-vehicle crash on Tuesday, October 3, 2017

One person was killed early Tuesday in a single-vehicle crash in the 1300 block of Highland Road, said Baton Rouge police spokesman Sgt. Don Coppola Jr.

Ardyce Dupuy, of Port Allen, died around 1:15 a.m., after he ran his 2015 Honda Civic off the road in a curve, hitting a concrete bridge barrier, Coppola said.

Dupuy, 24, was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and died at the scene, Coppola said.

Speed is a suspected factor in the crash, Coppola said.

The crash remains under investigation.
