KAPAA, HI : Woman critical after crash on Wednesday, February 15th 2017

A woman is in critical condition after a Kapaa wreck that occurred Wednesday night.
Crews with the Kauai Police Department responded to the single-vehicle traffic crash that occurred at around 7:25 p.m. on Malu Road.
According to police, the 71-year-old woman was heading north in a Ford Mustang and crashed head-on into a utility pole.
The woman had to be extricated from her vehicle by firefighters and medics. She was initially taken to Wilcox Medical Center then medevaced to Queen’s Hospital later that night.
She remains there in critical condition.
