VENTURA, CA : A hit-and-run crash in Ventura on Sunday, August 6, 2017

Two people were transported to a local hospital Sunday morning following a hit-and-run crash in Ventura, authorities said.

The incident was reported shortly before 8 a.m. at the intersection of Foothill and Wells roads, authorities said.

According to California Highway Patrol officials, a vehicle struck a bicyclist and continued traveling for about 300 feet before it crashed into a ditch.

Authorities said the driver of the vehicle was found to have injuries to her neck and arm.

Fire officials said two patients were taken to Ventura County Medical Center following the incident.
