LAS VEGAS, NV : 2 hospitalized, 1 dead after crash in northwest Las Vegas on Monday, 16th September 2024

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police are investigating a deadly crash that happened Monday night.

The crash happened at N. Rainbow and West Lake Mead boulevards just before midnight on September 16.

According to authorities, a Jeep Wrangler was traveling north on Rainbowapproaching Lake Mead when it struck a raisedconcrete median and crossed over into southbound lanes before coming back to the northbound.

The Jeep then struck the east curb before entering the intersection and drifting left over the center median before once again going into the southbound travel lanes before striking the west curb.

After hitting the curb, the Jeep hit a Dodge Journey that was stopped at a red light afterexiting U.S. 95 north at Lake Mead, which then hit a Kia Optima that was also waiting at the light.

Medical personnel arrived at the scene and pronounced the 20-year-old passenger in the Dodge dead at the scene.
