ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO : 1 dead in overnight 2-car crash in Bellefontaine Neighbors on Friday, 19th July 2024

An early morning crash in St. Louis County Friday left two people injured and one dead.

Officers from Bellefontaine Neighbors Police and Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers responded to a two-car crash on southbound MO-367 north of Haviland Drive just before 3 a.m. Friday. According to troopers, a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu crossed into the northbound lanes and hit a 2020 Buick Encore head-on.

The driver of the Buick, 49-year-old Cherish Wright, was pronounced dead at the crash scene. A 12-year-old girl and a 25-year-old woman suffered serious injuries and were hospitalized following the crash, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
