Hutchinson, KS : Two adults, three children injured after head-on crash in Saline County on Thursday, January 5, 2017

Winter weather conditions caused five people to go to the hospital after a head-on crash in Saline County Thursday morning.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Stacy Lynn Warta, 26, of Geneseo, was in the city limits of Brookville heading east on K-140 in a 2005 Dodge pickup, when she lost control of the vehicle due to road conditions, crossed the center line and struck a westbound 2013 Dodge van driven by Khali Marie Anderson, 23, of Ellsworth, head-on.

Warta and her passenger, Kolt Warta, 1, were sent to Salina Regional Health Center with injuries. Her other passenger, Leah Rhyan Warta, 6, was sent to SRHC with possible injuries.

Anderson and her passenger, Aiyana E. Brown, 17, of Wichita, were also sent to the hospital with injuries.

Their conditions were not immediately available.

Everyone involved was wearing their proper safety restraints.
