Clinton, WI : Chicago man dead after SUV collided with semitrailer truck on Interstate 43 in Rock County on Tuesday night, Oct 27, 2015

A Chicago man is dead after his SUV collided with semitrailer truck Tuesday night on Interstate 43 near Clinton.

Timothy J. O'Leary, 54, was taken to Beloit Memorial Hospital, where he died as a result of the crash, according to a Wisconsin Department of Transportation news release.

The crash was reported just before 9:30 p.m. after O'Leary's westbound Toyota RAV4 collided with the rear of the semitrailer truck near the Highway 140 overpass. Locked together, the vehicles continued traveling south before stopping on the right shoulder.

No information was provided about the driver of the semitrailer truck.

The crash scene cleared just before 2 a.m. Wednesday.

Emergency crews from the Clinton Fire Department, Beloit Fire Department, Clinton police and Rock County Sheriff's Office provided assistance to the Wisconsin State Patrol at the scene.
