Waterville, ME : Condition of Augusta motorcycle crash victim upgraded on Wednesday 5 October 2016
The condition of an Augusta woman admitted to Maine Medical Center Wednesday following a crash on Interstate 295 in Freeport has been upgraded to satisfactory.
Kayla Littlefield, 21, was a passenger on a Harley-Davidson driven by Johnathan Blum, of Augusta, when about 4:40 p.m., Blum apparently failed to slow down enough for the northbound traffic backing up in front of them; the motorcycle went into a skid and crashed. Both were thrown from the bike.
Both Blum and Littlefield were taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland, where Blum was treated and released Wednesday night. Littlefield was admitted and was in fair condition Wednesday evening. A hospital spokesman said Thursday her condition is satisfactory.
Calls to the Maine State Police were not returned Thursday.
