Joplin, MO : Oklahoma woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident on Wednesday, 9th May 2018

An Oklahoma woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 1 a.m. Wednesday on Coyote Drive at Apricot Road, a mile south of Joplin in Newton County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Merretta L. Storey, 48, of Miami, Oklahoma, was taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin with moderate injuries.

Storey was driving an eastbound car that ran off the road and struck a tree after failing to stop at the intersection, the patrol said.
