Salt Lake City, UT : Officer injured in vehicle collision in Millcreek on Friday, September 16, 2016

A police officer and another person are poised to recover after a crash in Millcreek.

Unified police say one of their officers was en route to a call Friday around 5 p.m. when there was a collision involving another car.

Both vehicles spun out and struck two stationary cars.

Unified police Lt. Brian Lohrke says the officer and the other driver were taken to the hospital in fair condition.

The officer has since been treated and released.

The South Salt Lake City Police Department is investigating the incident.
