Pasco County, FL : Wrong-way driver causes Pasco crash on Sunday evening, November 2, 2014

A wrong-way driver is accused of causing a crash in Pasco County this Saturday, according to Florida Highway Patrol. The crash was alcohol-related, according to FHP. Gregory Michael Henry, 60, of Port Richey, was driving his 99 Ford Escort, going north in the southbound lanes of US Highway 19. Loraine Lachance, 59, of San Antonio, was going south when she saw him in front of her. She tried to swerve but couldn't avoid the collision. The Ford hit her 02 Dodge van on the left side. Lachance pulled over to the shoulder but Henry kept going, still driving the wrong way. A witness followed Henry in the northbound lanes trying to get his license plate. Finally Henry crossed the grass median and got into the northbound lanes of US 19. Hernando County Sheriff's deputies and FHP troopers pulled him over and put him under arrest. Henry told officials he was involved in the crash after he left Skinny's Bar. He was charged with DUI, leaving the scene, driving in the wrong direction and no insurance and registration.
