Peru, NE : Paw Paw motorist injured in Interstate 80 onramp crash with steel I-beam in Peru on Monday, 9th November, 2020

A Paw Paw motorist was injured Monday after striking a steel I-beam, part of a load being hauled on flatbed, on the Route 251 onramp to Interstate 80 eastbound.

Tamera K. Murray, 50, of Paw Paw, was treated and released from Illinois Valley Community Hospital, Peru, after a two-vehicle crash at 9:35 a.m. Monday on the onramp to the interstate. Murray’s van struck a beam hauled by Douglas L. Holden of Franksville, Wis., who was not injured. One of the steel I-beams pierced her windshield on impact.
