Detroit, MI : Driver, construction worker dead after crash along I-94 in Detroit on Sunday, Oct 11, 2015

Police say a driver and a construction worker are dead and another construction worker is critically injured following a crash along Interstate 94 in Detroit.

State police say in a statement that the driver was headed eastbound around 9:50 p.m. Sunday in a lane that had been closed for construction when the vehicle struck two construction workers and a parked construction vehicle.

Police say construction worker Rafael Castillo-Saavedra of Detroit was pronounced dead at the scene and the second constriction worker was taken to a hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. Police say the driver Marvin Harris of Detroit also died.

The crash is under investigation.
