One Killed In Motorcycle Crash In Murfreesboro Tennessee

One person was killed Monday night in a crash involving a motorcycle on Interstate 24 in Rutherford County.

The crash was reported around 8 p.m. at exit 79 in Murfreesboro. Officials with the Tennessee Highway Patrol said at least one person was killed in the collision.

Details of the crash were not immediately known.Eastbound lanes of the interstate have been temporarily closed while crews work to clear the scene. Motorists are being diverted to alternate routes. Westbound lanes are experiencing rubbernecking delays.

TDOT said the interstate is expected to reopen around 1 a.m. Tuesday.
