SPRING LAKE TWP, MI : 2-car rollover crash slows traffic on M-104 on Monday, November, 20th 2017
Witnesses said that a driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee ran a red light, causing a crash early Monday evening at the intersection of M-104 and 148th Avenue.
The driver of the jeep, Monique Borrego, 42, was driving west on M-104 shortly after 6 p.m., ran a red light and was struck by a northbound Chevrolet Malibu, according to witnesses, said Sgt. Steve Austin of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office. The Jeep rolled over onto its roof on the northwest side of the intersection. The Malibu came to a stop just north of the intersection.
Borrego suffered head and shoulder pain. An ambulance transported her to North Ottawa Community hospital.
Stephanie Garza, 32, of Spring Lake, the driver of the Malibu, sought her own treatment for chest and stomach pain.
Traffic was tied up at M-104 and 148th Avenue for a short time after the crash.
