Crestview,FL: Crestview woman identified in violent I-10 crash on September, Friday 22th 2017
The Florida Highway Patrol has identified a 26-year-old woman who is listed in critical condition and clinging to life following a violent crash Friday morning on Interstate 10.
According to a FHP news release, the woman involved in the crash was Lindsey Marie Loggins. Other details also have been updated including a notation of “unknown” whether alcohol was related to the incident.
Early Friday morning, Crestview Fire Department released information that a woman now identified as Loggins was traveling east at the time of the crash at mile marker 46, just east of the Holt exit. FHP noted in its report that Loggins was witnessed driving erratically in a 2014 Nissan Sentra when the sedan went into the center median and crashed into the rear of a parked asphalt road grinder.
Crestview FD said department personnel were dispatched to the scene of the crash at 4:27 a.m. Crestview FD responded at the request of the Holt Fire District. FHP reported the time of the crash at 4:20 a.m.
After being extricated from the sedan, Loggins was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola by an Okaloosa EMS ambulance. Crestview FD noted Loggins was unconscious and listed in critical condition at the time of her arrival at the hospital.
Initial reports were Loggins suffered several severe injuries to the lower extremities.
Assisting FHP and Crestview FD at the scene were Holt Fire Department and Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.
