Oshkosh, WI : Vehicle crashes into pedestrians one person injured on Tuesday June 24th 2014
Officials are investigating a pedestrian and vehicle crash in Oshkosh that critically injured one person Tuesday.
A 17-year-old male driver was the lone occupant in a vehicle that crashed into three pedestrians about 10:05 p.m. in the 3100 block of S. Washburn St., according to a news release Wednesday from the Oshkosh Police Department.
Flight for Life airlifted a 23-year-old male from Waushara County to Theda Clark Hospital in Neenah for his injuries. The man was later transported to UW-Madison Hospital in critical condition, according to the release.
A 20-year-old Winnebago County woman and a 22-year-old Marquette County man were treated for non-life-threatening injuries at area hospitals and released.
Officials do not suspect alcohol was a factor in the crash, but reminded drivers that the speed limit on S. Washburn St. from state Highway 44 to state Highway 26 has been changed to 25 mph for the week in the area of the Country USA Festival. Pedestrians, officials said, should walk on the gravel shoulder on the west side of the road.
