At least seven people were taken to a hospital Christmas Day after a multi-vehicle rollover crash on the 101 Freeway in Woodland Hills, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The collision occurred on the eastbound 101 Freeway at Winnetka Avenue shortly after 5:45 p.m., according to a tweet from the Fire Department.
A CHP officer at the scene said three vehicles in total were involved.
One of the vehicles had overturned, according to the log.
A total of 10 patients were assessed at the scene, and seven of those were transported, LAFD tweeted. The conditions of the patients were unknown, but the officer at the scene described them as being minor.
All lanes were initially closed following the crash, but two were reopened a short time later, according to the California Highway Patrol’s incident log.
A SigAlert was issued by CHP around 6:10 p.m. The Nos. 1, 2 and 3 lanes were expected to be closed for at least an hour, the log stated.
The SigAlert was canceled, and all lanes were later reopened.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
