A 53-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman were killed in a motorcycle crash Sunday afternoon in Dane County on Highway CTH G near Rettenmund Road in the Town of Primrose.

According to the Dane County Sheriff's Department, while compensating for a curve in the road, the motorcycle crossed the centerline and collided with an oncoming car around 2:30 p.m.

The two were thrown from the motorcycle and were dead when Dane County deputies arrived at the scene. Efforts to revive the man, from Janesville, and the woman, from Mineral Point, were unsuccessful, deputies said.

The driver of the car, a 66-year-old woman, appeared unharmed. The crash is under investigation, and it is unknown who was driving the motorcycle when it crashed.
