PROVIDENCE, RI : DUI arrest in roll-over crash that blocked traffic on I-195 on Saturday, 3rd November 2018

he Rhode Island State Police arrested a 35-year-old Bristol man for allegedly driving under the influence of “liquor and/or drugs” following a crash on Route 195 West Saturday night in Providence.

At around 10:36 p.m. Saturday, troopers from the Lincoln Woods Barracks arrested Matthew Watkinson of Herzig Street in Bristol for DUI, citing a blood-alcohol content nearly three times the legal limit, after his vehicle struck another vehicle stopped in the westbound breakdown lane of Route 195 at about 10:10 p.m. Saturday night. Watkinson’s car rolled over as a result of the crash, the police said, but he was not seriously injured.
