Mexico, NY : Driver dead in a single-car fiery crash on early Sunday morning September 21st 2014
The Oswego County Sheriff's office is investigating a fiery one-car crash in northern New York.
Police were called to a crash on State Route 104 in the village of Mexico at 2:45 a.m. Sunday. They found a 2001 Buick LeSabre crashed and burning. The driver didn't survive.
Police say the car had swerved off the road and hit a mailbox and a tree. Unsafe speed was cited as a factor in the crash.
The victim's name hasn't been released, pending notification of relatives.
